because of the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) pandemic, all our concerts for the foreseeable future have been cancelled.
We will keep you informed here as soon as we know, when and how we can go on tour again.
If you want to continue supporting us, please buy a CD or two from our webshop - this will help us during the months with no gigs. Thank you!

In the meantime: don’t forget us, and please stay safe and healthy!
Today we have released our second Deitsch Video. We found the first tune of this set in the collection of Heinrich Nicol Philipp from Seibis, upper Frankonia (1784). It’s simply called “German No. 58”. The second tune is from the “Altland tune books”, collected in 1792 by Peter Meyer from Mittelnkirchen- Hinterdeich, which is about 40km west of Hamburg in a beautiful area called the “Old Country” by the locals. It also has quite a simple title: “Altländer No. 48”! The music is taken from our album „Deitsch - Mittsommer-Sessions“, which is available through our Webshop).
Gudrun, Barbara, Steffen & Jürgen
- “I’d like to call this album a stroke of genius!“ (Folk Magazin *****, Almut Kückelhaus)
- “… a snapshot, promising great things.“ (Folkworld)
- “Age-old music, revived by four enthusiastic and virtuoso musicians. A pleasure to listen to this!” (Moors Magazine, NL)
- CD of the month in “Le Canard Folk”, Belgium

Here’s our new video. The famous German poet Eduard Moerike, inspired by the view from castle Teck overlooking the Swabian hills, put his feelings into words which we set to music. The video was filmed on castle Teck by Claus Jahn and he also contributed the drone videos.
New arrival: Jürgen's new tunebook with traditional dance music tunes from Germany, arranged for DADGAD guitar:
"D-Trad Guitar, traditional German dance music arranged for flatpicking guitar in DADGAD"
This book contains 14 melodies from different regions of Germany, arranged for flatpicking guitar in dadgad. Twelve of the pieces come from old manuscripts such as the "Tanzsammlung Dahlhoff", which have been found and published in recent years, and two originals by the author in a traditional style round up the compilation. The book includes sheet music and tabs of the solo arrangements; in addition, there are diagrams for an easy strumming accompaniment. On the included CD, all pieces are presented in the original tempo and in a slower version, and there is a duet recording for each "tune" where lead and backing guitar have been recorded together.
In our webshop you can have a closer look at the book and also order it:
